The Krasue (Thai: กระสือ) is a nocturnal female spirit of Southeast Asian folklore. It manifests itself as a woman, usually young and beautiful, with her internal organs hanging down from the neck, trailing below the head. According to Thai ethnographer Phraya Anuman Rajadhon, the Krasue consists of a floating head accompanied by a will-o'-the-wisp kind of luminescent glow. The explanations attempted about the origin of the glow include the presence of methane in marshy areas. This spirit moves about by hovering in the air above the ground, for it has no lower body.
This design is an artistic depiction of the well-know Asian Folklore- Krasue. We depict it in a skull version and design it to have her spinal core able to wrap around the wearer's fingers.
1) Antique Silver (925 Silver with Aging Finishing)
2) Raw Brass (Brass)
Whole Ring Height: 30mm (From head to spine before it bend downwards.)
Skull Height: 16mm Ring
Due to the ring design with the spinal curve to the left, this ring is most ideal to wear on Right-hand Index Finger or Left-hand the Last Finger to have the skull head seated upright. The rest of the fingers are also wearable but the skull head will not be upright which gives a more random but also stylish look. Have fun playing with the style you want!
